Since I'm currently slacking on my book revisions, I thought I would go ahead and put up my new years resolutions.  But before that here is a little preamble.

One of the great things about New Years is the feeling that I'm getting a fresh start. Even if I don't accomplish my resolutions, I still feel that I started off the new year with a focus.

Another year alive, with good and bad things. 2009 was a tough year, but that's all right. Sometimes things sucks, but that makes the good things more awesome. I look forward to 2010, just like I'll look forward to every year after that.

So onward to the resolutions!

* Write everyday (at least 100 words): I want to get into the habit of writing everyday and I know that 100 words I can do even on a bad day, so there is never an excuse.
* Draw everyday (for at least 30 minutes): I already signed up for drawing lessons. I've always wanted to draw and having one more way to tell stories is always good.
* Exercise regularly (min. of 15 minutes): I'm getting old and so the healthier I get the better. Fifteen minutes might not be a lot, but it's better than nothing.

At first glance this might seem a lot, but in actuality this means taking 1-1 1/2hr everyday to just do something for me -- for my health, for my career, for my enjoyment.  I think I can manage.

Of course I have big goals for the year too, but those are things I may or may not accomplish. This, at least, is something I feel I can do.

Happy New Year's everyone!
